A total of 596 people are staying at the centre. Until noon yesterday, 882 people were still staying in three evacuation centres in the Kota Setar district.
Muhyiddin, together with Kedah Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal and Deputy Agriculture Minister Datuk Mohd Johari Baharum, rode on motorcycles to have a closer look at the flood-hit villages.
They were taken through Kampung Alor Gunung, Kampung Gunung Keriang and Kampung Alor Senjaya.
